Welsh Terrier
The Welsh Terrier hails from Wales, where in the 18th century it was used to hunt foxes, badgers, and vermin on agricultural estates. It sports a harsh black-and-tan coat that stands up to harsh weather. Originally bred for courage, endurance, and the ability to work in tough terrain, today’s Welsh Terrier is energetic, intelligent, and independent. It requires consistent training, regular exercise, and occasional professional grooming. Loyal and affectionate with its family, it can be wary of strangers and small animals due to its strong prey drive.
