Skye Terrier
The Skye Terrier originates from the Isle of Skye in the Scottish Highlands, where as early as the 19th century it was used to hunt badgers, foxes, and other vermin in dense brush. It is distinguished by its long, straight, flowing coat and short, sturdy legs. Originally prized for its determination, agility, and ability to work in harsh terrain, today’s Skye Terrier is a loyal and calm companion. It requires consistent yet gentle training, regular exercise, and careful grooming to maintain its distinctive coat.
