Scottish Terrier

Scottish Terrier

The Scottish Terrier hails from Scotland, where in the 19th century it was bred to hunt badgers, foxes, and vermin in harsh upland terrain. It features a compact, sturdy build, short legs, and a hard, wiry coat most commonly seen in black (though other colors exist). Originally esteemed for its fearless, independent hunting prowess and endurance, today’s Scottish Terrier is a loyal and devoted family companion. It requires consistent training, regular exercise, and occasional professional grooming, yet can be surprisingly calm and quiet indoors.
