Rottweiler

Rottweiler

The Rottweiler originated in Germany, where it was used as a powerful working dog to drive and guard cattle and later to pull carts and protect property, earning a reputation for strength, reliability, and courage. Its solid build and confident nature made it a trusted partner for butchers and traders, particularly in the town of Rottweil, from which it takes its name. Today, the Rottweiler is a calm, self-assured, and highly loyal breed that forms a strong bond with its family and can be an excellent guardian, but it requires experienced ownership, consistent training, clear leadership, and early socialization to develop into a balanced and dependable companion.
