Norwich Terrier

Norwich Terrier

The Norwich Terrier originated in England in the 19th century on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk, where it was bred to hunt rats and other small vermin in farm buildings. It features a dense, wiry coat typically in shades of wheaten, red, or black-and-tan and a compact, low-slung build. Originally valued for its tenacity, agility, and fearless temperament, today’s Norwich Terrier is a friendly, intelligent, and energetic companion requiring regular exercise, consistent yet gentle training, and mental stimulation.
