Kromfohrländer

Kromfohrländer

The Kromfohrländer was developed in Germany shortly after World War II (1940s) near the Bonn region, originating from the crossbreeding of two dogs brought by Allied soldiers and a local hunting breed. It was originally used both as a reliable family companion and a versatile hunting dog for tracking and retrieving. The breed comes in two coat varieties (smooth or rough) with typical parti-colors of white with brown or black patches. Known for its balanced and sensitive temperament, high intelligence, and strong loyalty to its family, the Kromfohrländer requires regular exercise, mental stimulation, and consistent yet gentle training.
