American Staffordshire terrier

American Staffordshire terrier

The American Staffordshire Terrier originated in the United States in the late 19th century, developed by crossing Bull Terriers and Bulldogs for pit fighting. Over time, the breed was refined for conformation shows and companionship. It features a sturdy, muscular build and a short, glossy coat available in a variety of colors. Originally valued for its courage, strength, and endurance, today’s AmStaff is a devoted family dog requiring consistent training, early socialization, and regular physical and mental exercise.
