American Pit Bull Terrier

American Pit Bull Terrier

The American Pit Bull Terrier was developed in the United States during the 19th century by crossing old English bull-and-terrier breeds brought by early settlers. Originally used for bull baiting and later for pit fighting, its strength, courage, and tenacity also made it popular as a family guardian. Today’s Pit Bull Terrier is friendly, loyal, and energetic, requiring consistent training, early socialization, and ample physical and mental exercise.
